Wendi M. Weiner received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Florida State University in 1999. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Weiner was a middle school English teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, Ms. Weiner received honors in Legal Research and Writing. She was also a recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for her dedication to volunteering in the community in both legal and non-legal capacities.

Ms. Weiner has concentrated her experience in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation both in the first party and third party context. She has represented a variety of insurance companies in property damage claims, construction defect, subrogation, products and premises liability, department of insurance investigations, professional liability, and mold claims.

Prior to joining Rubinton and Laufer, Ms. Weiner was an associate at the New York law firm of Melito & Adolfson and at the national law firm of Adorno & Yoss LLP. At both firms, she litigated multi-million dollar coverage claims in both state and federal court. Ms. Weiner also has extensive experience in commercial and construction litigation, federal and appellate practice. Ms. Weiner’s strong writing background has continued with her throughout her legal career as she has drafted appellate briefs for the Florida Supreme Court, Florida District Courts of Appeal, Florida Federal Courts, including the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Additionally, Ms. Weiner is an accomplished Adjunct Professor of English at Broward Community College and has been previously nominated for Adjunct Professor of the Year. She has served as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Miami-Dade College and has lectured at Business Writing seminars for Miami-Dade County.

Ms. Weiner is very active in performing pro bono work for local nonprofit animal rescue groups, including the Sanctuary Animal Refuge K9 Advisor. She is the Legal Pro Bono and Fundraiser Chair for the Sanctuary Animal Refuge and serves on its advisory board. She is also active with the Broward County Jewish Federation and Broward County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division.
