Jay Edward Silver received a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston. He received his J.D. at the University of Miami in 2000, where he graduated cum laude in the top 15% of his class. Mr. Silver was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000, and was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2001. Mr. Silver is also licensed to practice in New Jersey and the District of Columbia. While in law school, Mr. Silver was a member of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review.
Mr. Silver’s early professional experience includes internships with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of and for Dade County, Florida and for the Metro-Dade Police Department Legal Bureau. He has served as an Associate Attorney for the firm of Rissman, Weisberg, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A. in Orlando, Florida, and as a Supervising Assistant State Attorney for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to joining Rubinton & Laufer, Mr. Silver was an Associate Attorney at Ventantonio & Wildenhain, P.C. in Warren, New Jersey.
