Ms.Laufer attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, and graduated with honors in Accounting. Ms. Laufer attended Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, graduating Cum Laude. While attending law school, she was a member of the Nova Southeastern University Law Review, and served as Chief Advocate of the Nova Moot Court Honor Society. Ms. Laufer was an active Moot Court Advocate and participated in several national competitions, placing second in the Tulane National Invitational. She was also the recipient of the Goodwin Scholarship for each of the three years she attended Nova Southeastern. Ms. Laufer clerked at the Office of the Attorney General, as well as for several private firms, which contributed to her experience in insurance, commercial litigation, federal and appellate practice.

Prior to practicing law, Ms. Laufer enjoyed a career in accounting and finance, working at a regional accounting firm in Atlanta, Georgia. There, she conducted national audits for governmental clientele throughout the United States. Ms. Laufer’s accounting practice focused on internal fraud investigations.

Ms. Laufer began her legal career as an associate with the law firm of Adorno & Zeder, PA, n/k/a Adorno & Yoss, PA., gaining experience litigating domestic and international insurance, commercial, regulatory, and federal commercial and securities matters. While there, Ms. Laufer represented both private and public corporations in litigation and transactional matters throughout the United States and Europe.

Ms. Laufer has extensive experience in federal and appellate practice and has represented clients in the Second, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits. Additionally, Ms. Laufer represented clients before administrative agencies, including various state securities agencies, and has defended corporate clients in Securities and Exchange Commission proceedings in various federal jurisdictions. Ms. Laufer has written and argued numerous appellate briefs on various issues, including qualified immunity, securities fraud, classification of investment instruments, and the constitutionality of state statutes.

Following her federal and appellate court work, Ms. Laufer joined Mr. Rubinton’s practice group at Luks & Santaniello, LLC. Together, they contributed to the statewide, national and international growth of their division of the firm. Ms. Laufer and Mr. Rubinton shared in the desire to provide their clients with more personalized representation, and formed the smaller firm of Rubinton & Laufer, LLC.
